Section Branding. The Five Things I Know We can't leave a Saturday game unseen. Of course, certain FSU seasons may have sent fans into Seminole secrecy, when they tell friends and family that they aren't worried about their team but then enter each week with fingers crossed hoping for victory.
However, this season Seminole fans should be able to punt those worries, pocket those excuses and return to the days of bragging rights and garnet-and-gold swagger. Jimbo Fisher's boys plan on putting out a body of work that fans will want to talk about for quite some time.
This year's squad appears to have the talent and firepower worthy of counterbalancing the boasting done by FSU's SEC counterparts. One win season, a Chick-fil-A Bowl victory over South Carolina and a top recruiting class has made a world of difference in just nine months. For the first time since perhaps the ACC Championship season, the Seminoles actually enter a year with a roster and gameplan good enough to make even the most fickle of FSU fans confident that big wins are on the horizon.
Junior nose guard Anthony McCloud is a big player who has tackled a top spot on this year's defensive line. Both starred on the high school level in Thomasville, Georgia, just a few years ago.
Both now play pivotal roles for top ACC contenders. The , pounder appears to be on the verge of a breakthrough. Academics grounded his Seminole dream almost immediately after high school, so the Thomas County Central grad was forced to go the junior-college route at Itawamba. Second, I feel they ought to change the little icon bug in the bottom left hand corner of the screen, I could make a box identical to that using using MS Paint. Third, the words they use in transition are the same every night, and the way they say certain things, uninspiring -- "Good Evening Sports Fans ABC did more than change the set and add the HD, they totally transformed their personnel.
I too have been watching WTXL more. I'd like to see WTXL have some type of permanent logo on their news desk. I have noticed that WTXL has updated their website banner to show who they are, what area they serve and a picture of two of their anchors.
Good job! You're right Poonther! I just saw for myself they've made some nice changes to their website. I fancy this new attitude of theirs. He has been a source of stability for them in my opinion, no matter who's at the anchor desk. Gary Bartlett seems to be doing very well with his real estate right now. I was hoping he'd fail so we could get him back in front of the TV screen. What about Gordon Graham? He's brilliant and he's still here in town working the Capital Update news. He lives in the North East area, that head anchor job would be perfect for him.
Just the thing that CBS would need to compete! WTKL does have a logo on the desk when they do a diagnol shot, but I agree, they need one front and center! FOX 49 would have a lot of potential being the onl news in the area. To bad they got dumped in the basement corner.
Gordon Graham is an exceptional, underutilized anchor for the Florida Channel. WCTV would be a great fit for him, or he for them, either way you want to look at it. I think it's been said here before and it's correct, Elton Gumbel is in dire need of a tailor.
I see they split up the newscast between them. I wonder are they going to leave it that way or will one of them win out as the main anchor? Do they even show that thing in every broadcast? Maybe in Wx when I flip back to McCall?
And the Gordon Graham thing sure is puzzling and has been to me for the past few years. Is there bad blood between him and WCTV? Does he want too much money?
I can't see that since he's working for Capitol Update. Maybe he doesn't wanna work the hours they want him to? I'm still watching the poll results above. This would not have been close over a month ago! Amazing the tremendous turn-around!
I did see you on t. I knew that guy looked familiar! The state legislature even repealed a major rate hike which should save citizens even more. Go to this website and click on the audio montage link and listen to the music.
