Along with this, the game has the odd habit of referring to Morinth as Samara. Given how Morinth keeps on talking about how the Ardat-Yakshi are the "genetic destiny of the Asari", fans could be forgiven for forgetting this detail. However, nothing she says can negate the fact that all Ardat-Yakshi are sterile. This certainly would throw a wrench into Morinth's ideologies. However, depending on the player's choices, the character might not even be alive all that long to be corrected anyway.
Morinth might do a pretty great job of convincing everyone on board the Normandy that she's actually Samara. Still, two people onboard manage to notice something off about her presence. In fact, after the Suicide Mission, Kasumi outright mentions Morinth by name. She warns Shepard not to trust her, regardless of how helpful she might seem. While Morinth never drops the act when it comes to imitating Samara in front of the squad, there's one exception in this regard.
Morinth reverts back to her own voice and personality in Fortack's lab on Tuchanka. During this event, a prompt will allow Shepard to talk to Morinth normally in front of the third squadmate as well. In fact, Morinth can even have a unique conversation with either Mordin or Grunt. Once inside the VIP section of Afterlife on Omega, players will need to have Shepard complete three activities successfully to attract Morinth and get her to ask them to join her.
There are several to choose from, and three include morality points for players looking to maximize their Paragon or Renegade score. Morinth is attracted by displays of bravado or charm, particularly if Shepard inserts themselves into a potentially violent situation on principle.
When trying to get her attention, players will need to focus on these displays. The activities are:. If players somehow fail to make an impression on four activities, the mission will automatically fail. Morinth will leave, and players will not secure Samara's loyalty. You and Samara head to Omega to stop her reign of terror forever.
However, it's really easy to fail the mission. So, here is a guide that explains everything you need to know to complete the quest and earn Samara's loyalty. After the operation on Horizon, all of the great loyalty missions will begin to appear. In fact, at the end of each quest, you'll either notice them being added to your journal or hear about them from Kelly Chambers.
Samara's mission is among the last to be unlocked , but go see her in the Starboard Observation room when it is. She'll tell you everything you need to know about the mission and her daughter. Afterward, you'll be ready to head to Omega. The Queen of Omega will be in her usual spot in Afterlife.
Aria will not be surprised by the talk of an Ardat-Yakshi as she had suspicions that one was hunting nearby. The Asari will then point you to the home of Morinth's latest victim, Nef. Nef's home is on the map, listed as "Apartments. Once you head inside, you must talk to the mother of the victim. The conversation will be all about her daughter, and it'll end with you gaining access to Nef's room.
Shepard's actions attracted and excited her, and Morinth invites the Commander to join her at her table. Seemingly finding someone who shares her interests, she decides she wants this person to her own and invites Shepard back to her apartment. Morinth tries to seduce Shepard when the Commander gets their bearings, only to find Samara enter the room. Mother and daughter battle biotically; both seem evenly matched in power.
Morinth sees her chance and asks Shepard to help her kill Samara, claiming she's just as powerful as her mother and could serve Shepard's cause. Shepard then has a choice to kill either Samara or Morinth if the Commander resisted Morinth's ensnaring seductions.
If Samara is killed, Morinth then replaces her mother on Shepard's team. Their strong family resemblance helped along with Morinth's skill in mimicking her mother means no one aboard the Normandy SR-2 realizes Samara has been replaced by Morinth; only Shepard knows the truth.
Shepard automatically earns Morinth's loyalty should they assist her instead of Samara in the duel between her and her mother during Samara's loyalty mission. If Shepard talks to Morinth on the ship, she claims her partners experienced pleasure far beyond that of a normal melding, and expresses her desire to mate with the Commander, as Shepard is unlike any other person she has had before.
She even suggests that Shepard is too strong-willed to die if the Commander joins with her and proposes that after they complete their mission that they should celebrate by doing so. If they both survive the suicide mission , Shepard can choose to mate with her as promised; however, Morinth's claims prove to be incorrect and Shepard painfully dies during joining.
If Morinth survived the suicide mission, then when Shepard returns to the Normandy after visiting the Council for the first time after leaving Earth , Morinth will send the following e-mail:. I'd apologize for slipping off the Normandy without saying goodbye, but we both know the Alliance wouldn't take too kindly to my presence there.
