When will you start accepting applications again? This varies based on the volume of applications in each region and the number of dogs needing homes. We will be updating this page as things change so check back regularly for any updates. Can I apply anyway? Any applications we receive will be automatically deleted and will not be considered by our Rehoming Officers. Should I send my application to another area that is still accepting applications?
No thank you! If other areas become overwhelmed, we will need to close these regions as well. We know it's exciting but please be patient and wait for your area to be open for applications.
Why are you not accepting applications? All of our dogs are neutered, microchipped, health checked and have regular preventative treatment against worms and fleas.
Those that rehome one of our dogs will be taking on all costs. Health Some of our dogs may have a health condition that requires ongoing treatment or certain restrictions in activity.
Behaviour It may be that one of our dogs has shown some behavioural issues such as: positive and negative reactions, recall issues, separation anxiety, poor travelling or poor lead behaviour.
Dogs may have received different levels of training — some may not even have entered early training, so it is worth bearing that in mind too. Age Typical ages of withdrawal from guide dog training are years, but we also see quite a few retired dogs needing homes.
