Go back The Lewington family, Coogee. Go back Aboriginal Oral History Project. Most of them are good kids it is the minority that are looking for trouble. Everyone I know that lives in Aubin Grove says that they love it here for how quiet it is and how we can let our kids play out and feel very safe. That is my favourite thing about Aubin Grove!!! Oh and the wonderful new school. As this poster, 'dissapointed' or should I say 'bitter' is the only poster with such extreme negative comments about Aubin Grove, it would suggest to me that this person has an agenda to discredit the suburb.
So just as 'dissapointed' has recommended to all readers, "have a good look round before making a decision to move here" I think you'll find that everything this poster has said is untrue. Myself, I can't relate to anything this poster has said. See you down at the park! Cheers, deucer The reviewer is right, the suburb ain't what it was, it's getting run down as the time passes, it's not safe at nights to walk around and always lock up well before you leave!
Andrews59 - not safe to walk around at night? You have to be kidding. Aubin Grove is the pick of the suburbs in this area. Whilst only temporary residents here, we have been very impressed over the last year compared to the other side of the freeway. Lock Up before you leave is a fact of life. Dollar for dollar, one of the nicer suburbs around. Aubin Grove is a diamond in the rough! Just off the Kwinana freeway, the premium estates like The Sanctuary are far enough away to not even know the freeway's there.
The area is quiet with the estates seemingly designed to minimise through traffic. Infrastructure has been lacking in past years being a newish suburb, but the new primary school opens in and there's a medical centre, chemist, physiotherapist, IGA opening soon etc.
For that matter, all of this infrastructure, and more is in the next door suburb, Atwell, if you feel like a short drive. Gateway shopping centre is also only 5 minutes up the freeway which is pretty convenient. Public transport in the area is superb. The bus runs regularly through the suburb linking to the Cockburn Central train station and Gateways Shopping Centre. The train trip to the city is only 20 minutes!
Pick your seat! The Kwinana cycle path is also right on your doorstep and is really smooth and quiet early in the morning. Or there's coffee shops up at Cockburn Central if a 5km ride is more your style! Some of the homes in the area really have the best of both worlds.
The estates are hemmed in by acerage and bush. The houses along the back of The Santuary for example on Cape Range Crescent and Grampian Crescent look out over the acerage bush to the east and there's a lot of homes built right on the parks for great views.
There's not too many places in Perth, let alone Australia, where you can have the best of both worlds Have lived here since the suburb was established. A lovley suburb with beautiful grounds and lakes in stage one.. Some people have neglected to comply with the original covenance regarding yards, driveways and colours which is disappointing that no one police's this. There are some streets that have alot of young children playing on the roads unsupervised. In desperate need of shops.
Look complete but have sat empty for months waiting for someone to lease.. Easy access to freeway and Gateway Shopping Centre. A mix of ages, suit families, young and old. The communities around Aubin Grove Station can now enjoy using the multi-modal station, which includes:. For more information on the station and its features read the final Project Update , or visit the Transperth website. PTA acknowledges the traditional custodians throughout Western Australia and their continuing connection to the land, waters and community.
